Biblical Christianity is unpopular in a secular world and popular Christianity is unbiblical. Honestly, I get tired of everything getting lumped into one group. I wrote the book A Typical Christian for just this reason. There is only one right answer when it comes what is biblical conduct. We live in stupid times where the words of God are completely corrupted. Technology at our fingertips makes it quite easy to get wrong information or end up down a rabbit hole created by the devil. What are the two differences between unpopular Christianity and popular Christianity? Truth and lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People don’t get to make up truth that is convenient for them even if they try. The only things that humans are capable of doing is creating lies. Truth comes from God and is not something that can be made up. Lies are a perversion of truth and are made out of convenience. There are so many layers to the word Christianity that it is impossible to identify them all. The word Christian used to mean something when the first believers publicly identified as followers of Christ. Today the word Christian is a watered down and endless variation of just another religion. The devil has done this. Passive do-gooders accepting everything under one big tent created this mess. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s take a look at why it is unpopular to be a Biblical Christian.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We live in a world driven by sin. People are obsessed with money, fame, their looks and even the number of followers on their social media account. These things consume the thoughts and actions of a majority of people living in the first world countries. When someone focuses on Jesus first, it doesn’t look natural to those looking in from the outside world. Selfish desires clash with selfless ambitions. The world makes everything about me and I. Jesus, and the Bible make everything about God’s love and demonstrating it for other people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is impossible to walk with God when your eyes are not focused on him. Our heart will point our eyes where our ambitions lie. It is easy to get caught up with shiny things<\/a>. Sure, it is nice to have these things, but in the end, we must remember that these things are just stuff. There are no eternal rewards for having the nicest car, the most followers on a social media platform, or being famous. All of these things end the day when you take your last breath here on earth. You can’t take anything with you when you die. Your things become worthless objects that are devoured by the scavengers after your body turns cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Popular Christianity is a lie. It says that I can prioritize these things in my life and punch my Jesus card a couple times a year to keep my heaven insurance policy active. Biblical Christianity is truth and demonstrates that your forever home is not here on earth. The path we are on is just temporary. Unpopular Christianity doesn’t give you instant gratification on this earth because you understand that your reward is in heaven. When you start seeing the big picture that your life could end at any moment, you realize that only the things that you do for God will last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a believer, I would encourage you to re-evaluate the priorities in your life. What things are filling your time and consuming your thoughts. Do these priorities line up with the Bible, or are they just temporary things that distract you from your forever home in heaven? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
