Throughout history Satan has relentlessly worked on presenting a faux gospel. His avenue of engagement is though churches led by ravenous wolves, doctrines of deceit and complacent fools that regurgitate every talking point without any spiritual due diligence. We live in a time where the faux gospel of the day is love. We must first understand the meaning of love as it pertains to the scripture. The purpose of love is to demonstrate as humans the type of love that God shows to us. Agape love is the love that God has for man and the love is reciprocated by man loving God. It is the love that causes the Holy Spirit who dwells inside us to yearn for our creator through thanksgiving.
Modern love is a perversion of agape love, and the two types of love are not the same. Modern love is a selfish, inward expression of desires that one formulates for their own comfort and benefit. This love is not biblical and is yet another clear example of a perverted faux gospel that the devil uses to confuse people. One of the reasons why modern love is pushed from weak and counterfeit churches is because it helps move their agenda forward. The de-masculation of our society is done on purpose to undermine God’s creation and attempt to redefine truths.
Let me explain. Quite a few years ago, I listened to a sermon series called love and respect by Emerson Eggerichs. The short version of that series is that women need to be loved in a relationship to feel valued and men need to feel respected to feel accepted. If you haven’t heard this sermon series before, I would highly recommend it and encourage you to listen to it. What Eggerichs said makes a ton of sense. What we require as men vs women is built into how we are wired. It isn’t by mistake that we require certain habits to function. If you look through the entire Bible, you will see countless examples laying out the roles for men and women and what the expectations of each are. What the devil is doing and has been doing for a long time is trying to undermine the word of God and change those roles.
A faux gospel will find things in the Bible that are not there.
I don’t care what you think or what you believe the Bible says, if it isn’t written in the Bible, then it isn’t a biblical truth. Not every situation we come face to face with has a solution written in the Bible. Some topics are not even described in the Bible. There is enough information in the Bible that should guide someone filled with the Holy Spirit to form a biblical conclusion with parameters for which the Bible has laid out obvious guidelines. With that being said, the only way you know what the parameters, guidelines and truths are, is to read your Bible.
Unfortunately, most people don’t read their Bible, let alone study it and they certainly don’t understand it. This isn’t a dig, just an observation. I don’t need a study or a survey to tell that most people don’t read their Bible. The lives people live, the way they live them and the agenda that they promote tells me all I need to know about the inward heart. The Bible tells us that we will know them by their fruits. In layman’s terms it means what you think and feel on the inside will be demonstrated by the way you act and how you speak. Being biblically illiterate is one of the most damaging testimonies that anyone can give. It is impossible to be the truth and light in this world if you don’t even have a basic knowledge of what you are talking about.
Satan loves confusion. This is why you see so many people confused about who they love, their pronouns, their identity, their feelings and their role as man or woman. This behavior unfortunately leads many people from God. On one hand you have Christians that know their Bible well enough to hardline on some issues that they are passionate about. This is the legalistic approach. On the other hand, you have the faux gospel presenters who know the truth but choose to manipulate and pervert the truth. The first hand can lead lots of people into the demonic second hand by pushing people away from the Gospel.
Where we need to find ourselves is solidly yoked with the word of God which will create a foundation of accountability for all. Christians must fulfil their biblical roles as defined by our creator. Men need to lead their household. This means leading your wife and children in a way that points to God. Embrace your masculine role as a leader. Do not fall prey to the feminization of men. Churches need to focus on agape love, not worldly love. Stop throwing around the love thy neighbor passages in a way that represents a false, perverted, faux form of the word love. It is time for men to step up, show an agape love example for everyone in their household to follow. We need masculine, Godly men who understand agape love leading churches.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 New American Standard Bible 1995
13 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in love.
